Goldenseal has been used in the treatment of infections, colds, flu and congestion caused by inflammation of the mucous membrane, hemorrhoids, fungal infections, canker sores, constipation, gastric ulcerations, vaginal infections, diarrhea, excessive menstrual bleeding, and gingivitis.

Acts as an antibiotic, cleanses the body, has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, increases the effectiveness of insulin, and strengthens the immune system.
